The Macclesfield Hotel is a  Food Destination in A Country Pub. Nestled in the quiet hamlet of Macclesfield located in the picturesque Adelaide Hills, this grand old pub was built in the early 1800 to cater for and accommodate travelers from Adelaide to the gold fields in Victoria.  Situated on Venables Street, it still boasts the ultra wide street for the bullocks to turn around and now creates ample safe parking.

Feel the ambience of an old age era as soon as you walk in the door. If only the floorboards could talk.  Enjoy the warmth of log fires in the cold months  and (the 21st Century  concession of)  air-conditioning in summer. The beer garden/bistro leads out to a secured lawn area and is very child friendly.

Come in and say G’day to the publicans Yorky and Jen and their fantastic, friendly staff, with an amazing menu guaranteed to be the best  “Gourmet Pub Grub”  in the hills, with their schnitzels making it to number 1 in the state. This Menu will appease the most astute connoisseur of fine foods, but still retain the homeliness of old fashioned comfort food, promoting Local Produce and Local Wines.
